Gopika, who has a string of successes under her belt in Kollywood, is now cast opposite Prithviraj.She will play the female lead to Prithviraj for a movie titled "Vellithirai". The movie is produced by Prakash Raj and directed by Viji, who penned the dialogues for Mozhi.
The movie is a remake of Malayalam blockbuster "Udayananu Tharam" which had Mohanlal, Meena and Srinivasan in lead roles.
A spoof on South Indian film industry, the film was a big hit in Kerala.
Gopika is also romancing Sundar C for a film titled "Veerappu" besides a couple of Malayalam movies in her kitty.
