After ruling Kollywood as the number one actress, Asin is now eyeing to make it big in Bollywood. This is indeed a feat as after long a south Indian actress is making her mark in Bollywood. She has shifted base from Chennai to Mumbai and has made filmmakers hop mad to sign her. She joins the big league of actresses here signing Aamir Khan starrer to be directed by A.R Murgadoss. The film will be the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Ghajini’ and will begin shooting from May 7 onwards.
Her tryst doesn’t end here and reports are that Asin is also being considered by Boney Kapoorto star opposite Salman Khan for his remake of ‘Pokkiri’, which was her Tamil hit with Vijay early this year. She is likely to be roped in for two other mega projects. Rakesh Mehra’s of ‘Rang De Basanti’ fame is considering her for the lead role in his ambitious project ‘Dilli-6’. With so many films in hand it will be troublesome for her to move to and for from Chennai to Mumbai and so for the time being she is settling down in Mumbai and will be moving into a plush apartment on the 20th floor in Andheri West this week. But she is not pushing her Tamil films to backburner and will be completing Dasavatharam. However her other Tamil projects are not confirmed for the time being.
